As Associate Director of Business Development, Wheatleigh assists renewable energy and green technology businesses, both domestic and international, with making strategic investments in Connecticut that drive commercial success. His experience in global business development in the services, technology, and manufacturing industries extends across 25 years in various leadership capacities.
Prior to joining AdvanceCT, Wheatleigh co-founded and operated a specialty legal translation agency that provided services in over sixty languages to leading law firms, Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and academic institutions around the world.
Wheatleigh’s commitment to Connecticut runs deep. He raised three children with his wife in Greenwich, where he actively contributes to community educational programs and where he previously served as volunteer firefighter and dive rescuer for 12 years. He speaks fluent Japanese, and has studied and worked in Japan over his career. Wheatleigh holds a B.A. from Yale University in East Asian studies and a M.A. from Columbia University in political science.
