Membrane Distillation Technology Company Finds Partnerships and Business Growth Support in Connecticut
New Haven, Connecticut, October 16, 2023 – AdvanceCT announces KMX Technologies (KMX), a global leader in the membrane distillation industry, has established its executive headquarters in Sharon, Connecticut.
With operations in Ontario, Canada, customers in North America, South American, and the U.K., and manufacturing in Japan, the company is working to develop solutions to make the lithium and mineral separation process more sustainable and economical.
Using a proprietary membrane separation process to mine minerals from water, enhance water treatment technologies, and revolutionize solar desalination processes, KMX Technologies is innovating separation technologies.
In April of 2023, KMX established a research partnership with the Connecticut Center for Applied Separation Technologies (CCAST), at the University of Connecticut. “Connecticut is a world leader in the type of precision manufacturing and design capabilities we need,” said KMX CEO, Zachary Sadow, “Our partnership with Dr. McCutcheon and his team at the UConn’s Connecticut Center for Applied Separation Technologies adds immense value to KMX and our future in Connecticut.”
“KMX Technologies is exactly the type of company Connecticut likes to see establish operations in our state,” said John Bourdeaux, CEO of AdvanceCT. “They are developing commercial solutions with one of our state universities that will revolutionize water technologies and provide sustainable solutions for the ongoing energy transition.”
“We are thrilled to have our executive team based in Connecticut,” added Sadow. “We feel like we have a lot of support from the state, along with access to the precision manufacturing assets we need to further develop our technology.”
