Connecticut’s Economic Promotion Organization Appoints New Board Co-Chairs

North Haven, Connecticut – January 22, 2024 —AdvanceCT announces a transition in our organization’s Board of Directors. AdvanceCT’s new co-chairs are Adam Norwitt, President & CEO of Amphenol Corporation and Judy Olian, President of Quinnipiac University. They will help lead AdvanceCT’s economic development mission, providing counsel and oversight as our organization works to attract corporate investment to Connecticut and ensure that the needs of companies currently doing business in the state are met.

Adam Norwitt has served as President & CEO of Fortune 500-company Amphenol Corporation since 2009 and Judy D. Olian, PhD, became the 9th president of Quinnipiac University in 2018.

Both Norwitt and Olian have been serving on AdvanceCT’s Board of Directors for several years and will now be playing more active roles in the organization as co-chairs.

“Judy and Adam are great leaders, and we are looking forward to their advice, counsel, and leadership,” said John Bourdeaux, President & CEO of AdvanceCT. “Their knowledge of corporate America, the corporate decision calculus, and what it takes to lead far-reaching organizations, brings an important perspective to our work at AdvanceCT.”
Norwitt and Olian will succeed current AdvanceCT Board Co-Chairs, Margaret Keane, former CEO of Synchrony, and Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, Senior Associate Dean for Leadership Studies and Lester Crown Professor in Management Practice at the Yale School of Management.

Keane and Sonnenfeld will continue to serve on AdvanceCT’s Board as Connecticut continues its mission to attract innovative companies and secure the next generation of jobs for the residents of the state.
“AdvanceCT would like to express our appreciation to Margaret and Jeff for their steadfast leadership over the past two years,” added Bourdeaux. “They led the organization through the uncertainty of the post-pandemic years and contributed invaluable counsel to our operations and the way in which AdvanceCT engages with companies. Connecticut has a bright future. Judy’s and Adam’s insight and guidance will continue to help us achieve our economic goals for the state.”

In addition to Norwitt’s and Olian’s new roles, Louis Lu, Senior Vice President of ASML, Wilton, CT, will be joining the AdvanceCT Board of Directors.
