WHI Global Expands Aerobond Composites Manufacturing Operations in Enfield, Connecticut

Enfield, CT, May 14, 2026 – WHI Global, a leading vertically integrated manufacturer serving the aerospace and defense industry, today announced the opening of its Aerobond Composites manufacturing facility in Enfield, Connecticut. The company has invested more than $4 million to establish a state-of-the-art, 78,600-square-foot facility designed to significantly increase production capacity and support long-term growth.

The newly upgraded facility features advanced manufacturing technologies, including a new 10-foot diameter autoclave, modernized legacy autoclaves, six laser ply projection cells, enhanced climate-controlled clean rooms, and upgraded quality assurance and cutting equipment. The streamlined, open layout is designed to optimize production flow and position the company for future scalability.

The project received support from the State of Connecticut and the Town of Enfield, including an $800,000 grant from the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Strategic Supply Chain Initiative to help the company expand its production capacity.
