Emily Vergara is a Research Analyst on the Research team at AdvanceCT, where she supports data-driven projects aligned with the organization’s economic development mission.
Prior to joining AdvanceCT, Emily worked as a consultant with New Haven Promise, contributing to initiatives such as the development of an HR council aimed at addressing gaps between local talent and employment opportunities. She previously worked at Target as a Finance and Business Planning intern, where she focused on inventory optimization for low-volume stores. Emily also worked at Yale University as a Financial Analyst in the Financial Planning and Analysis department, partnering with departments across the university on budgeting processes and ad hoc analytical projects.
Emily is originally from Peru and grew up in New Haven, Connecticut. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
