Marketing Associate

AdvanceCT is a collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit that grows Connecticut’s economy by driving job creation and capital investment across the state. We are seeking a Marketing Associate to join our high-performing team to promote Connecticut as a premier destination for business growth and expansion. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Associate will play a key role in executing day-to-day marketing initiatives across digital channels, supporting events, and contributing to the organization’s overall brand presence. This role is based in New Haven, Connecticut, with some opportunity for remote work and occasional in-state or international travel.

AdvanceCT is a relatively flat organization, affording the Associate regular exposure to senior team members, direct involvement in high impact projects and strategic initiatives, and opportunities for career growth. AdvanceCT is a winner of the HBJ 2026 “Best Places to Work” award.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage content for AdvanceCT’s organic social media channels, including writing, designing, and publishing posts using Canva 
  • Monitor and engage with social media audiences to increase visibility and engagement 
  • Execute email marketing campaigns using Constant Contact, including list management, content creation, and performance tracking 
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for up to four events per month, including planning, vendor coordination, on-site support, and follow-up 
  • Assist with broader marketing initiatives, campaigns, and projects as needed 
  • Track and report on marketing performance metrics across channels 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field 
  • 3–5 years of relevant marketing experience 
  • Experience creating digital content using Canva (required) 
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, preferably Constant Contact 
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small, collaborative team 

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with social media analytics and reporting 
  • Event planning or coordination experience 
  • Basic understanding of marketing strategy and campaign execution

Salary and Benefits

  • $69,000 to $76,000 annually, depending on experience.
