Vice President of Business Development
David brings 17 years of economic development, international business, and policy experience to AdvanceCT. Immediately prior to joining Advance CT, David was Vice President and Director of the Office of International Trade and Investment at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. Before that, David was Deputy Director of Investment Services at SelectUSA, the U.S. government’s federal program to attract foreign direct investment. David began his Washington career in private industry, advising companies on doing business in the U.S. and directing legislative affairs for a multi-billion steel and technology conglomerate.
A native of Connecticut, David grew up in Portland and Manchester and graduated from Manchester High. During college, David interned in Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro’s New Haven district office. During law school, David clerked at the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office under then-Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. David started his career in the Gold Building in Hartford as an auditor with Arthur Andersen. A licensed attorney and certified public accountant, David studied German at Yale, accounting at the University of Hartford, and law at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
