Connecticut Department of Public Health Medical Home Evaluation

The Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) was awarded a three-year grant in 2008 from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). One aspect of the grant was for an outside evaluator to review the in-house evaluation activities, conduct additional evaluation activities and report qualitatively and quantitatively on progresses made. AdvanceCT was hired to evaluate the success of the initiative.

CASE Nuclear Power Study

The Connecticut Energy Advisory Board (CEAB) requested that the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE) perform a study on advances in nuclear power technologies to inform and assist the state’s leadership in making decisions that are in the best interest of Connecticut citizens with regard to the use of nuclear power in the 21st century and beyond. AdvanceCT was hired to do a statewide resident survey of perceptions about nuclear power and to assist with the economic impact analysis of a potential new nuclear plant in the state.

Connecticut State Medical Society Economic Impact Analysis

The Connecticut State Medical Society (CSMS) is a federation of eight component county medical associations, with a total membership exceeding 7,000 physicians. Throughout its existence, the mission has been to serve both physicians and their patients, the citizens of Connecticut. CSMS is a constituent state entity of the American Medical Association. They hired AdvanceCT in 2001, 2005 and 2011 to conduct economic analyses of the medical profession as well as an industry overview.

Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering Broadband Study

When the state of Connecticut received federal funding to collect data to determine the availability of broadband across the state and identify what public policy goals will support universal connectivity to high speed broadband for all citizens and communities, they turned to the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE) to manage a process to develop a Strategic Plan for Accessibility to Broadband Services in Connecticut. CASE engaged AdvanceCT to perform the necessary research as part of the planning process to develop a comprehensive strategy.
